One of the most common misconceptions is that people with disabilities are asexual or are not interested in sex, relationships, or intimacy. Therefore, people with disabilities are often left out of the conversation when discussions about sex are had. This can create barriers that lead to disabled people feeling sexually frustrated and it can create challenges between partners as discussions about sex for those with limited mobility has become a bit of a taboo topic. You may find that there are a few resources to help you all and wonder if you should even bring up the fact that you may need additional aid at all. Due to this being such an under-discussed topic, there are few tools designed specifically for people with disabilities.

If you struggle with arthritis, arm or shoulder issues, or any other non-parapelgic mobility issue, here are five products designed to help you enhance your sex life and get back to feeling empowered again.

LOVENSE Lush 2 Vibrator ($89): This vibrator can be inserted and left in place for ease of use. It can be controlled through an app so you can select a setting and speed and let it buzz, no need for continuous gripping or any sort of hand strength. Perfect for solo or partner play, the possibilities for this vibrator can be left up to you.

Liberator Vibration Ramp and Wedge ($240): If you are easily fatigued or have mobility issues in your back or shoulders this unique design allows you to experience total body pleasure with little to no movement. In addition, with a number of ways to stack or set up the ramp and wedges you and your partner can discover new positions and reclaim your sex life.

Wedge pillow

Eva Hands-Free Vibrator ($135): If you struggle with hand movement or arm movement, this waterproof vibrator also requires no hands at all. Designed by a female-led company, it’s small and discreet nature makes it so all you have to do is attach it and let the vibrator and your partner do the rest.

Hands free vibrator

Moxie Wearable Vibrator ($139); Similarly to the Eva-Hands Free Vibrator above, this one is also hands free. One unique benefit to this is that it is held in place with a magnet and can be connected to and controlled from an app on you or your partner’s phone. Not only can this allow for more fun with your partner, but it is also about as hands free as you will find!

Wearable vibrator

Fin ($55): As a more affordable option, this vibrator does it all. If you struggle with hand mobility, the tether on the Fin can help you as it just slides onto your fingers, preventing you from having to hold onto a small device. This makes it perfect for your own pleasure or enhancing sex with another. In addition, with different types of simulations depending on the side of the vibrator, you can move the tether around to achieve whichever sensation you want.
